Man booked for molesting schoolgirl

Aman Sodhi, a resident of Khalra, a border township, has been booked under sections 354, 323 and 341 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 7 of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act for allegedly molesting and attacking a schoolgirl. The girl was on her way to school when the accused assaulted her. Residents of the township had staged a dharna in front of the police station yesterday, demanding stern action against the accused. — OC
